Consumables Plasma Cutter

Shield Cap: This component is usually not directly consumed by the plasma arc but due to its closeness to the work piece it is prone to be damaged in most plasma cutters except the Lincoln plasma cutter.

This component plays a vital role in making a quality cut on the metal piece. This is usually replaced when it is bent, burnt or out of shape.
Nozzle: This component functions by making the plasma arc swirl through its small opening, which varies depending on its amperage. Usually, when it is new, it will be round with clear defined edges. It is usually replaced when it has lost its roundness.
Inner Retaining Cap: This component has a copper body and function so as to circulate the coolant around the nozzle. It also functions in distributing gas to the shield cap. It is usually replaced when burnt, bent or if there are already tiny holes present in the copper body.
